Long-time bandmaster in Abilene, Texas. Born 1906 in Springdale, Arkansas. Served as bandmaster at Abilene High School from 1926-1946 and as band director at McMurry College in Abilene from 1946-1972. Bynum Band Hall on the McMurry campus was named in his honor.
